The number 27: Hope to despair

In my life the number 9 and its multiples has a significant role to play. I don’t know it was sheer coincidence or my superstition. The faith is blind and so also me, and whenever there is an opportunity to prove myself better than others I always preferred the identification numbers as 9 or any multiple of it. So also when Indian Cricket Team started its mission world cup 2007 on 27^th March, I thought they will route Bangladesh to grit. But the time has thought the other way and India crashed a humiliating defeat in hands of Bangldesh. On the same day there was another match in progress, Pakistan vs. Ireland and again it appeared the time has also learned the skill of googlee and Pakistan suffered a major setback and was thrashed out of World Cup. It seemed as if the weird turn of things have decided not to restrain in this years cricket gala. The paki Coach Bob Woolmer found dead under suspicious circumstances.

One week after, India has also the same fate, on the verge of ouster from the World Cup and Pakistan team in deep trouble after it was made public that Bob Woolmer was murdered. The Indian cricket team and its management is facing severe criticism from several fronts and now there is a under current view that there is no hope for this team.

It forced to me reconsider my infatuation with number 9 and more specifically with 27. If to be believed in views of numerologists and tautologists numbers play a role in our life far from our understanding. That is why a bulk of acceptable and unacceptable happenings in our life takes shape on a given date or day. If this is true is there any hope to transform our despairs into hope by tampering with numbers, yes or no! Let us do not bother our minds with these thoughts. Things will continue to happen in our life as they like it to be, because if ‘our eyes are dry the lips will not bloom’ and if ‘I will not cry someone else will not smile’.
