Time is a wonderful resource when you own, it will do miracles for you and else it will destroy you beyond repair. While traveling to my office two things were disturbing me to a great extent. One is election of US president and the other is recently popularized and controversial “Chhat Puja”. Since, morning all channels are ga ga about the ongoing counting for the post of President of United States. It was a long drawn out “Tamasha” and I am happy that finally it came to an end with election of first Afro-American democratic leader Mr. Barrak Obama. Now at least all the pro and opposite forces will settle down to do some more constructive work rather than making promises and building castles in the wind. As such I think democracy as suggested long time back by Mr. Churchill, is a system developed by fools for fools nevertheless we do not know a good alternate to this. We spend so much of time in criticisizing each other on both ideological as well as personal front. Even in countries like ours we go to such level which is not only undesirable but even in bad taste. But after reading the speech or Mr. McCain the defeated candidate of US election I feel relaxed and happy to note the thoughts of him. I believe whatever Mr. McCain told it is honest account of what he is feeling. If you wish to read his speech please follow the link.

Now, come to the other “The Great Indian Tamasha” of Chhat Puja. An occasion used to be celebrated by people of Bihar for wellbeing of their family. The rituals slowly and slowly spread to other states with migration of skilled to unskilled labourers from Bihar. Now, one fine day an idiot called Raj Thakrey started his political career by opposing and thrashing Bihari migrants in Mumbai, Thane and some isolated pockets of Maharashtra. End result political polarization to garner vote for central election scheduled to be held in near future. A Political party in Delhi criticized the local government for failure to declare today as a Holiday and most pathetic the said local government allowing people to further pollute the Jamuna which is crying for some help to remain alive.
Will history ever forgive us for all these non-sense act of banality? Never!!! May god bless all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
