Human Rights! to kill or save?

It is now a long time since I posted something on my blog. On and off a lot of thought came to mind and they just vanished the same way as they appeared leaving behind some footnotes to ponder upon. The most significant events that passed by was the gruesome death of 20 odd people in event of bomb blast in Delhi. Now a week passed since then and the local police gun down two persons in an encounter and few arrests were made by the police in Delhi and elsewhere and still they are searching for clues to reach to the mastermind behind the blasts. A lot of political debate is on about the functioning of the central government and their mechanism to deal with this modern day demon called “Terrorism”.

When I try to think I have no clue from where to start and where to end. Some say whatever the police and other central & state intelligence agencies are doing is very right whereas there are some NGOs and part of intellectual community who holds some different opinion. They say taking the shadow of these bombings police and intelligence agencies tormenting a section of Muslim community.

Last Sunday I was going through an article “Terrorism and the State” in “The Hindu” by Harsh Mander [1] in which he holds an opinion that there are several instances in aftermath of such bombings police arrests few innocent people and later they could not prove the charges on them but in the process such innocent people loose their livelihood and social status. Further, taking his argument forward he says “There is no doubt that the governments and people of this land need to combat terrorism, and to track down and punish those who randomly take innocent lives. But in this battle we must not sacrifice our convictions, of democracy, law, justice and humanity”. For a moment I was trying to decipher the meaning of the bold words, then my logic said that, as such bomb blasts seldom happens and already people have lost their life, we should look forward and should not punish even the culprits as we believe in democracy, law, justice and humanity. This is more so because the moment one person dies his human right cease to exist, however, as there is a person or persons who perpetrated such an heinous crime but since he/they is/are still alive has every right to have human rights.

Very funny is not it? Every human being in this civilian society has right to live and no force has right to deny this but a community at large which fosters such idea called “Jihad” should get punished even for the crimes where they do not have any direct involvement. The same is applicable to all communities even Hindus, Christians and all such communities who harbour hatred in the name of a hypocrisy called as religion. Someone very rightly said ”Religion makes an individual selfish”. We cannot see beyond the opaque wall of religion that is why I think all great scientists were non believer of God, you know why the very fear of god will resist you from thinking beyond certain known reasoning and your logic will take a backseat. This is the reason may be no Islamic country has ever produced a thing which has done more good than bad for our mankind. They very usage of western made weapons does not soil the religion of followers of Islam but their social practices are. What a non sense….

But there are so called intellectuals, who believe otherwise for them the hunger for recognition is so high that they can do or say anything as they wish. Mr Mander none of your relative or friend probably has never lost a limb or life in such cowardice acts that is why you are preaching and we are listening. Please give an advice or two to such people who still have a soft corner for those who perpetrate such crimes and if such incidents continue to re-occur the so called word of “Human Right” will cease to exist because the society will value this word only when there are humans who dwell on our earth not demons.

This I am writing not to hurt anyone’s sentiments but our world has many serious problems to solve let us just not divert our attention from them and start killing each other in the name of God whose existence is itself not well established.

dear friend..

i don't know on you and your back ground.. but still i have some disagreement with your views.

every body in this country is in favour of the new cancer terrorism whether it is hindu, muslim or christian....

i feel that the comment made by Mr.mander is a right one..may be becasue he is much involved in the upliftment of the suppresed and oppressed people...i had read his articles a lot and had felt his kind of work he's carrying out..

look at his words how many blasts have been proved successfully.. none.. we have no evidence..none...

i suggest you to kindly go through the differnt news papers which writes on this issue for the past few days.. u could feel the dichotomy.and some baseless arguments by police.....

the opinion is of mine and you can comment on it...

don't forget we have elected leaders in our country who had brutally massaccred two thousand people in gujarat and people demolishing and setting fire to the chruches every day with the help of ruling party..

love and prayers brother

Mr Rafi

Our world is very unique and its people are more unique.Every human being has their aspirations and motives. But only there are few persons who accept in true essence who they are.It is true with me and also with you. Rest all others are someone else when they speak in private. You might be wondering what point actually i am trying to make... Then listen friend if a brother has a beautiful sister then in subconscious mind he wish if he could enjoy her and the same might be true with a sister as well. But there will be hardly anyone in the society who will accept the negative side of their human psychology. So, do not just get flattered by opinions of people like Mr Mander because they are the persons who betry themselves leave alone others.Their need for societal recognition is so high they can go to any extent to achieve this. Beaware of such people.Use your logic and reasoning to judge people and spread the message to call a spade a spade.

Rest about the state sponsored terrorism, yes from every dimension it is wrong and henious but when you push a majority to corners because of perverse reasons of vote bank politics and reasons beyond anyone's logic there are people who are also ready to take the benefit of such mob. A mob is like a chain reaction, once it started means there is no end to it.
As afar as attack on christian's concerned first of all let me make it very clear that who suffers in the battle is soldiers, you seldom hears that a king got killed in direct action. Similarly, if you wish to uplift the down trodden of the society then how it could be linked to christianity or any other religion. Mother Teresa neven asked a leper to first convert to Christianity and then she will treat her. With passage of time in Orissa a handful of people got benefits. They are enjoying the status of ST at one hand and have access to immense wealth pumped in by Missionaries. Then there is obviously a fissure in their own Tribal community just like lower castes and upper castes. To take benfit of this so called leaders move in. Why not a single church in Bhubaneswar or any urban part of Orissa got torched.. have you or anybody ever bothered to think about it......

Sometimes I feel god had made a mistake by creating the worst of it's creation and that is human being. Slowly and slowly we are turning into cannibals, except otherwise nature's rules no animal ever kills memebrs of its own clan but it is human being who can do that.....I am teeling you there is no stop to it, only when the world will vanish into smoke all these things will come to an end and we all will wait till such time by being judgemental about each others religion, culture, practices etc.... God bless all of us!!!!
