“Sometimes I wonder whether god will ever forgive us for what we have did to each other? But when I look around I feel God has left this place a long time back.....”
Remember these lines. These are from one of my all time favourite movie called as Blood Diamond. Every time I see it being aired on any channel, could not resist my temptation from watching the same again and again. A beautiful movie about human anguish, pain and greediness. Truly mesmerizing.
However, I always wonder why the God/nature has created different tribes of human being with different set of attributes and talents. Africa a land awash with natural resources but people are devoid of basic knowledge how to use it for benefit of their own people. So, result foreign mercenaries come in and they exploit the local people for their benefit and when they finally call it a day they leave behind two class of people one who is exploiting and the other who is getting exploited net result ethnic violence and genocide.
Is there an end to such episodes ? Or every time we will continue with this kind of mindless act of violence and will justify it in the name of religion, class, community, region etc etc. A faint answer to this question I found on rediff.com today. One of our fellow citizen from Muslim community had written a beautiful article about mis-interpretation of Quoran to justify terrorism. In reply to his article somebody in anonymity had written that it is not about interpretation of religious scriptures rather every act of vandalism is product of human greed for power. So, what if tomorrow the entire world will endorse Islam, then there will be war between Shias and Sunnis, Iraqis and Iranis and like wise. Means it is a vicious circle which will continue for ever. However, it will earn respect to some media hungry so called Human Right Activists, movie makers etc. and as an individual every time you walk into your house in the evening never forget to offer prayer to the almighty for blessing you one more day of life to survive with your near and dear ones and also to read a blog like this.
